SKY Airline reselects Turbonycoil 600 for its fleet of Airbus A320 NEO

NYCO announces that SKY Airline, a main Chilean airline based in Santiago, reselected Turbonycoil® 600, a synthetic standard turbine oil, to lubricate the engines of its fleet of Airbus A320 NEO after carrying an extended technical and commercial market evaluation review.

SKY Airline has been using NYCO turbine oil, greases and hydraulic fluids since 2014 for its former fleet of A320 CEO family powered with V2500 and CFM56 engines. Today, SKY Airline is operating one of the most advanced and environmentally friendly fleet consisting of 17 ALL-Airbus A320 NEO aircraft powered by LEAP 1A engines.

“For us at SKY, safety is the most important thing, as well as the quality standards of the supplies with which we work. That is why we are very happy to have the Turbonycoil® 600 once again, because we know their track record and the reliability of the product”, affirmed the SKY CEO, José Ignacio Dougnac.

“We are proud to establish a long-term partnership with Sky Airline and to provide our technical support during this difficult time that the aerospace industry is facing. Sky Airline will be benefiting from an excellent and field-proved turbine oil solution for the new generation of A320 NEO jetliners, whilst keeping their lubricants’ related costs steady.” Said Pedro Dasi, Head of Sales and Marketing – Aeronautics.

Approved against demanding specifications, including SAE AS5780 SPC Class and MIL-PRF-23699 F STD Class, Turbonycoil® 600 is approved by all major engine manufacturers (General Electric, Pratt & Whitney, Pratt & Whitney Canada, Rolls-Royce, Snecma, Turbomeca, CFMI, Klimov, Motor Sich, Aviadvigatel). It has logged more than 30 years of experience in jet engines of military and commercial aircraft.
