TURBONYCOIL 640 receives MIL-PRF-23699 HTS approval

TURBONYCOIL 640 receives U.S. military specification MIL-PRF-23699 HTS approval

TURBONYCOIL 640, NYCO’s HTS/HPC turbine oil, received U.S. military specification MIL-PRF-23699 HTS approval. This certification comes within the latest technological developments that require lubricants able to withstand increasingly high operating equipment temperatures.

TURBONYCOIL 640 was added to the Qualified Products List (QPL) at the end of December 2014. It is also qualified against SAE AS5780 HPC, encompassing all the requirements of the military specification as well as specific OEMs testing requirements.

TURBONYCOIL 640 is intended for use in hot to very hot engines in military and civil aircraft. It offers outstanding performances for demanding applications such as helicopter propulsion, heavy duty land equipment using high temperature gas turbines and particularly hot aero-derivative gas turbines like Siemens / Rolls Royce 501-K, Trent and Pratt & Whitney FT8.

NYCO is now offering a full range of top quality turbine oils: STD/SPC grade with Turbonycoil 600 and HTS/HPC grade with Turbonycoil 640; but also lower viscosity oils for specific use (Ram Air Turbine, Trimmable Horizontal Stabilizer, …) or operation in cold weather with Turbonycoil 160 and Turbonycoil 400.”, said Arnaud Radigue, Director of NYCO Defence division.
